Olight Javelot Pro Rechargeable LED Hunting Kit

The Olight Javelot Pro is a high output rechargeable LED torch that is the successor to the M3XS-UT Javelot and while it still offers an amazing reach, it now boasts a higher output of 2100 lumens on the turbo setting. To prevent overheating the Javelot Pro will maintain the turbo brightness for 10 minutes before dropping down to 1000 lumens to protect the LED.

This hunting kit version features the following main items:

Featuring a Cree XHP35 HI NW LED, the Javelot Pro combines this with a smooth reflector fitted into a large diameter head to provide a balanced beam profile with a central long distance hotspot surrounded by spill light, offering a maximum range of 1080 metres. The body of the torch features an aggressive knurling design to ensure a good non slip grip, yet is still comfortable to hold due to the slim build.

The body itself is the battery pack which is made up of two 3500 mAh 18650 lithium-ion batteries, and it is integrated into the body design, but the tail cap and head can still be removed for maintenance and replacement. The torch comes isolated with a small disc between the battery pack and tail cap that needs to be removed upon first use.

Charging the battery pack is done via the tail switch using the included magnetic charging cable. Simply connect the magnet to the tail of the Javelot Pro and plug the USB end into a computer or another USB source, such as a mains USB adaptor, with an output of at least 2 A. The indicator light on the magnet will go red while charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete after approximately 4 hours, 30 minutes.

Two versatile switches give you multiple options for accessing the four brightness levels. The side switch operates all the outputs and turns the torch on and off by holding down the button, then once on, single presses will cycle through in the order of low, mid, high and turbo. The last used brightness setting will be remembered next time you turn the torch on if it was turned off using the side switch.

The tactical tail switch gives access to both low and turbo modes either for constant or momentary output. A quick half press of the tail switch will access constant low, while a quick full press will access constant turbo. Repeat to turn the light off again or hold down the side button. For momentary operation, half press and hold for low output or full press and hold for turbo output and when the button is released the torch will turn off.

For hunting purposes the torch can also be controlled with the magnetic pressure switch that is included with this kit version, simply magnetise the pressure switch to the tail cap. A quick press of the pressure pad will turn the torch on and off in turbo and pressing and holding the pad will provide momentary turbo output. The pressure pad will only give access to turbo, but once turned on the side switch can be used to change the brightness level and the output will revert to turbo if the pressure pad is used again.

A useful battery level indicator is built into the centre of the side switch and will light up when the torch is turned on or when the side switch is pressed with the light off. Green light indicates more than 75% power, orange light indicates 30%-75% power left, red light indicates less than 30% power and when less than 10% power is remaining the light will flash red.

The included gun mount is supplied with rubber shims to accommodate different sized scopes, and the two filters allow the torch to be used without spooking game.
